My wife and I could not be happier with our new hardwood floor. It is truly beautiful and amazing to come home to. The installation was flawless and on-schedule with all the discussions prior to construction and the originally budgeted numbers were in-fact what we paid for the work. 100% would recommend! We bought an old home and Ion refinished the wood floors (original maple, had not been refinished in 64 years). It looks like a new house! Completely transformative! He's a perfectionist and we took his advice on the stain. (I wanted lighter but he suggested a slightly darker honey that would bring out the warmth in our cabinets). He was 100% right. We couldn't be happier with the results.

Moreover, we had to remove the existing fireplace, so there was a large area without wood that we needed to patch. We also had him fill in the old forced air vents since we have baseboard heating as well as add a bullnose around the spiral staircase.

We received another estimate (similar price), but when I asked about matching the wood for fireplace area and vents, the other guy said there was just no possible way to match the wood without it looking like an obvious patch. He suggested we patch it in the opposite direction of the grain (?) and he would try to make it look like an old patch (?)

Anyway, Ion was able to patch the fireplace and floor vents perfectly! It's so seamless it looks like there was never anything else but solid wood.

Tessa was friendly, professional, worked to fit me in, and offered advice about maintaining the floors. Super professional company. Here are a few pics, before and after. I would never go anywhere else!
