Scott took on a big and somewhat challenging deck project for us. It wasn’t a complete tear down. Just the decking and stringers needed replaced. The railing and spindles were fine. This deck sits on top of my two car shop with a flat roof. They added another water barrier just in case and then replaced a rotted, mundane deck with a deck that has a nice design to it that adds to its appearance.
I also needed a new set of stairs that were safe and not dangerous. So they moved the landing and steps to a whole different corner of the deck. There were a few hiccups with the stairs that got fixed. Scott was willing to go all out to redo it but we came up with an appropriate solution.
As a little extra his guys bolstered up my old landing that comes out of the house and put down new deck boards to match the new decking.

I don’t have pictures of the fully completed project. Just the process.
It looks terrific and we can’t wait to stain it and use it this spring and summer.

Working with Scott at Buildit USA was awesome. He made this process easy, worry free and his ideas were spot on. Even when there were some work order changes, Scott handled the changes with ease, which made the process worry free for us. The workers who actually did the work, Charlie and Dustin were amazing. They were professional, dedicated to the task at hand, and very detail oriented. Now that that project is completed, we kick ourselves for not biting this bullet sooner because it is such a useable and beautiful addition to our home.
