I'm getting started with woodworking as a hobby. Great place to buy hardwood lumber. They have hard/sort/ Birdeye Maple, Cypress, Aromatic Cedar and Spanish cedar, walnut, pecan, purple heart, old pine wood, Cherry, and much more. Plus lots of plywood.

We stopped by to see the huge rocking chair in front of their furniture store...

The rocking chair is neat in that it is built of wood... so many rocking chair exhibits are metal these days...

We are restoring a 100 year old house in Gulfport and want to be as authentic and accurate as possible. Our floors are :Philadelphia (PA not MS) strip oak. Tongue and groove, blind-nailed, 1.5 inches wide and 5/16" thick. We needed to replace some of the floor and could not find what we needed without having to buy many bundles and pay enormous shipping. Then, we would still have to rip them to 1.5 inches and plane to 5/16.
At DEDEAUX we were directed to bulding #4 and was able to pick out what we wanted. I THOUGHT we had found exactly what we needed...However, my intelligent, beautiful, talented wife, (who I tried to leave home) looked around and said :How about these?"
She found...Many straight grained, 5/16" by 1.75 inch wide pieces, 60 inches long in RED OAK..! - We bought 12 pieces for less than $50.! --- Go there for the wood - stay for the value.
