We rented from Juneau Car Rental Company while on a Norwegian cruise and it was perfect. I filled out the form online a few weeks ahead of time. I got a confirmation email the next day. Then the evening before, they emailed a contract to sign and instructions for picking up the vehicle nearby the ship. It was less than a five minute walk. We dropped off the vehicle with a full tank in the same spot we picked it up. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and their easy in/out service. Do it. You won’t regret it. Drive to Mendenhall. Laugh at the tour buses. BTW, traffic in Juneau is easy peasy.

We rented a Ford Transit 15-passenger van for July 27, 2025. We received the instructions on where and how to pick up the vehicle. Unfortunately, the instructions contained a wrong license plate number. This small detail caused tremendous stress since there was no one to pick up the phone. We left several messages and no one called us back. The whole group was worried since we felt stranded and also didn’t know if we went ahead and hired someone else or a last minute tour to solve the problem would mean we would be still liable for the rental fee of $428. A whole hour was lost during this ordeal at a cruise port stop that was already short time wise.
Wrote an email to the company on Aug 6, never received a response from them.

Our ship had docked in Juneau, I had not paid for any excursions, so I decided to just walk off the ship with my son, and I saw this sign that says car rental, we rented the car then we were picked up by a shuttle and driven to where the cars were. We requested a SUV.
2024 Subaru SUV.. We were also given a laminated map that guided us on a road trip
Also, we were given an awesome recommendation for the best fish-and-chips. I have ever eaten. I highly recommend Juaeau car rental to anybody. Who wants to see the beauty of the mountains and a great meal.
