I decided to "buy local" in spite of the fact that they charge 60% more for their paint than Home Depot, but no one bothered to tell me that their exterior latex paint that they sold me wouldn't last through a wet winter outdoors and would have to be repainted...every year? So I am looking at that mess that didn't even make it through February. It wouldn't have been a stretch to expect them to point that out and that oil based paint was the only kind that would survive a Juneau winter. Anyway, I decided I am not buying anymore paint from them, and I still have a lot of outside painting ahead of me. I may not like Home Depot's political leanings, but with Valley Paint's prices and lack of pertinent information about their paint, I can't afford to support them.
